Adopt a Golden Birmingham
Adopt a Golden Birmingham is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue organization dedicated to giving Golden Retrievers and Golden Mixes a second chance at life. Their mission is to match every dog in their care with a loving forever home, regardless of age, health condition, or special needs.
Every dog accepted into the program receives comprehensive veterinary care, including wellness exams, vaccinations, spay/neuter services, heartworm treatment when needed, and any additional medical attention necessary to prepare them for adoption. Beyond medical care, experienced volunteers and certified trainers carefully evaluate each dog's personality, behavior, and temperament to help ensure successful matches with adoptive families.
Because every dog is unique, Adopt a Golden Birmingham takes a thoughtful approach to adoption, considering factors such as activity level, compatibility with children, other pets, and the adopter's lifestyle. Their goal is to create lasting placements where both dogs and families can thrive together.
While adoptable dogs will not be present at the show, visitors are invited to stop by and meet the Adopt a Golden Birmingham team to learn more about their rescue efforts, adoption process, volunteer opportunities, and ways to support their mission. Adoption applications will also be available for those interested in providing a forever home to a deserving rescue.
